Review: Costix – All in One Elementor WordPress Theme

Do you need a multipurpose theme that can allow you to create a dynamic site in fields as varied as architecture, fashion, catering and many more? A theme with which you can create a site in one click? And of course all this at a reasonable cost? So maybe this newcomer to the Envato platform could be tailored for you: “Costix”. It has great potential with more than 21 demos available. So let's see in detail if it is as powerful as it looks.

Mobile Compatibility

Mobile compatibility is essential for any polyvalent theme. It allows any user to surf on all mobile media with the same display quality. Today, we used an iPhone to test one of the Costix theme’s demos. And the results are convincing as shown in the screenshot below. Indeed, the images are centered and proportional to the phone’s size. And, the texts are readable and centered as well.

However, certain elements did not make us too comfortable. For example, the fixed buttons at the bottom of the page for easy access to certain pages (Profile, Search, Basket). In our opinion, this is something that could have been done better; with a fixed header or fixed icons on the side. It would fit better with the beauty of the theme because it must be said that it looks really good on mobile devices.

Design Review

As for the design, on all the demos visited, the colors used correspond perfectly to the atmosphere of the niche tackled. For example, we watched the demo designed for Restaurant. From the outset, you are immersed in the universe. The images and animations are just beautiful; the style is really unique and attractive.

Speed Test Review

When the speed loading of a web site is great, his reputation also increases. Because, whatever quality content you have, if the loading of pages on your site is slow, any visitor will lose the urge to continue browsing your site. The test of one of the demos of the theme performed on Pingdom revealed an excellent general score (86). Indeed, with a loading time of the demo very satisfactory (1.61s), the theme Costix is really positioned as a great site.

The only downside that we found is the large number of requests made to the server (53). If you are curious, we advise you to solve the problem by combining certain scripts, and certain CSS files of your site into one. Or simply contact customer service for improvements.

SEO Review

The SEO analysis of the demos of the theme studied is generally satisfactory. For example, the test of one of the demos carried out on the reference site Neil Patel reveals an excellent SEO score (82). But we still noticed some problems. And the most important of them seems to be the absence of a sitemap.xml file. The latter increases the chances of a good referencing by facilitating the search engines to crawl your site. But this is a problem that you can easily manage for example by using the Google XML Sitemaps plugin.

Now let's take a look at the Rich Results! But first what is it?

This is structured data that provides additional information to search engines, which then feeds it into their results. This additional information on your site therefore becomes accessible to users from the search results; which will significantly increase the click-through rate to your website.

Customer Support Review

Customer support is a part often overlooked by development teams. But this isn’t the case with the Costix theme. Despite the small number of comments, we noticed a great deal of attention on the part of the author in the responses given to customers. And the response time is one day on average

On the other hand, the last update dates from December 3, 2019; which is not very recent. But according to the Comments section, we see that the author is present to manage the concerns of its users. It's reassuring!

Supported Plugins

We were able to verify by ourselves that all the plugins mentioned on the theme work correctly. Among these, we can mention WooCommerce, Contact Form 7, Elementor, Slider Revolution, etc.

Summarize

The theme studied today has met all our expectations in terms of design quality, mobile compatibility, speed, and SEO analysis. Despite some easily corrected issues, this theme deserves to be classified among the best because it has enormous potential. In terms of value for money, you’ll not regret your investment.
